Sometimes it isn’t always going to be impressive. But it has to at least be a victory when all is said and done, or there is absolutely no chance for a non-AQ school to vault up to the next level and claim a BCS berth. Since the advent of the BCS in 1998, there have been just 31 undefeated regular seasons posted by all teams in the Bowl Subdivision... Read More

So we’ve now got twice the sample size, and it is starting to appear like the universe is shaking itself back into order after a weird first week that saw things flipped around from the norm. But things are still a little out of whack, though there are extenuating circumstances that mitigate that reality.
Take for instance the case of the non-AQ conferences, the leagues loaded with schools chasing BCS Buster dreams. The battle... Read More

When a new college football season begins, 53 of the 120 FBS teams currently in existence are held to the standard of perfection just to be considered for a berth in one of the five biggest bowl games on the annual schedule. And by the second week of every season, there are just a dozen or so teams who are still undefeated after taking on tougher opponents to try to sell the school’s merits with a statement victory. More often than not those... Read More

The first weekend of the college football season is now officially behind us, with just one more in-conference ACC matchup to play. Thus it’s time to plug the numbers into the system once again to see which conference comes out on top.
A quick disclaimer for those who are new to the College Football Conference Rankings:
For purposes of non-conference BCS games, Notre Dame is counted among the BCS schools due to personal entry qualification... Read More

The first games are in the books, and for those teams that survived the tough tests of the opening weekend there are just eleven more hurdles left to clear on the road toward becoming a BCS Buster. Several teams lost their best chance to emerge on the radar… and as we all know, even one defeat is the bane of a BCS Buster’s existence.
Therein lies the difference for non-AQ schools and all others. Take the fortunes of the two teams expected... Read More
