Zach Bigalke: Welcome back to another edition of the Tailgater here at Breaking Tackles. I’ll be piloting this week’s panel, joined as always by Matt Strobl and John Mitchell. Every team has at least four games under their belt at this point, and as we near the midpoint of the season things are starting to come into focus across the college football. Some teams are better than we expected; some teams are worse. But while we can plot and predict... Read More

John Mitchell: Most college football teams have either already started or will be starting conference play this weekend as the season continues on its rapid pace. I hate to see the season moving by so quickly, but I’m very excited about the upcoming slate of games this weekend and the coming weeks. We are through four weeks, so we have a decent sample size at this point. With that in mind, which team do you feel is the most overrated at this point... Read More

John Mitchell: College football season is moving quickly, and it’s hard to believe we are already in week four of the season. Zach Bigalke and Matt Strobl will join me to break down the week four action. A lot of teams are starting to get into conference play this week, while other teams continue their out of conference tune-ups. Speaking of conferences, it was another crazy week on the conference realignment front. The biggest news was the Pac-12... Read More

Last week, I wrote my inaugural Heisman Watch for the 2011 season, highlighting 10 of the favorites to take home the award, and making my pick to take home the Heisman Trophy.
Now, I’m moving on and trying to highlight five possible sleepers that could make a run at the 2011 Heisman. The last two seasons, players have come out of nowhere to win the Heisman in Alabama’s Mark Ingram in 2009, and then Auburn’s Cam Newton in 2010.
Those two players... Read More

John Mitchell: This is the third different site in as many years for the Tailgater, and while the website has once again changed, the faces have not. Joining me as always are Zach Bigalke and Matt Strobl.
Zach Bigalke: While the house has changed, the people inside have remained the same. Welcome back to those of you that have been there for the 2009 preview at Informative Sports and/or the 2010 edition at Sports Nickel, and we’re... Read More
